Throughout July and August we will be installing radiator foils on all living units of the student housing on the campus of University College Utrecht, which is a huge workload. We need as many people on-board as we can.

The heaters in our campus are old and inefficient, we lose significant amount of energy through outside walls during winter: which is why these heaters need to be insulated. This way, we can reduce gas emissions per year with efficient heating systems. The environmental positive impact could amount to 21,000 m3 of gas saved per year. To do this, we need volunteers to help us install the radiator foil!

We will divide shifts to be Tues, Wed, Fri and Saturday. These further divide into morning, afternoon & evening shifts.

Tuesdays: Morning & Afternoon

Wednesdays: Morning, Afternoon and Evening (Opt) 

Friday: Afternoon

Saturday: Afternoon + Evening (Opt)

The shift breakdowns are:

Morning: 10-13h

Afternoon: 14-17h

Evening: 18-21h open hours

Morning/Afternoon shifts are actual installation in the units with snacks included, and evening shifts are an open option for busier volunteers for calmer tasks of pre-cutting aluminium foils with us to prepare for installation shifts. 

The installations will occur on the weeks from the 8th of July until August 8th.
